Bearsden Garden

This is a back garden of a house in Bearsden. The area was dominated by a large Cedar which blocked the sun and was beginning to take over the garden. The old patio area was looking a bit the worse for wear and the central rose bed dominated the space.

After removing the tree with the permission of the Local Council (the house is in a Conservation Area) I designed the garden with a large patio accessed directly from the kitchen and dining room. The stone was in keeping with the front façade of the house and allowed enough room for seating and entertaining. An additional area alongside the new garage was more secluded and raised beds against the garage are home to many fragrant and climbing plants which will make this area a lovely place to sit in the sun.
