Small Courtyard garden
This is a small courtyard garden in Hyndland where the emphasis was on a intimate entertaining area with ambient lighting and plenty of colourful plants.
Rather than just make a straight path up to the back door I decided to create some curving retaining walls and selected natural stone for the circular patio.
The addition of the lighting transforms the garden at night into a relaxed and peaceful place to sit or entertain.
