This garden in Giffnock had been sadly neglected for a few years and was full of some very pernicious weeds. The new owners were keen to clear the garden and start afresh, incorporating a patio, large lawn and new driveway.
The garden sloped downhill and as such there was no flat area for a patio.
I decided to terrace the garden, incorporating a flat patio area for entertaining, leading to a lawn at the top and down through a pergola into a gravel area with an Oriental touch to the planting.

This in turn leads down to a family sized flat lawn. The newly paved Tegula driveway is now much wider for the cars and makes it easier to access the new garage.
The front of the house was also repaved and levelled off and gives the appearance of a wider entrance.
